Copify for Writers
Are you a writer? If so, the following explains how the site works:
Registration and applying to be a writer
First of all you will need to register on the site. Once this has been completed, visit the 'apply to be a writer' page and follow the instructions to submit your application.
If your application is successful
If your application is successful, you will be assigned a writer status of either 'standard' or 'professional', depending on your experience and the quality of your work. This will determine which jobs you will be allowed to accept.
How much will I be paid?
Depending on your writer status of either 'standard' or 'professional', you will be paid either £0.02 or £0.04 per word.
Accepting jobs
When you are fully registered as a writer, you will be emailed with jobs that match up to your experience and areas of knowledge. The publisher in question will specify what they require in a brief. This outlines, in detail, what is expected of you. If you feel that you can match these requirements then you are free to accept the job.
Approval and payment
Once you have completed the job, you should ensure that it has been fully proof read and spell checked. Next, upload it to the website via the control panel. The publisher who has placed the job on the site will then be notified and either approve the copy or ask for amendments to be made.
When the copy is approved, payment for the job will arrive in your Copify account in due course, ready for you to withdraw.
What happens if the publisher does not accept my copy?
In the unlikely event that your copy is rejected by the publisher, it will be reviewed by the Copify team. If it is found that they have just cause for complaint, then you will not be paid for the job. To find out more about this, please see our FAQ section.
